G. M.; Ford and Chrysler have room on assembly lines and could use some nice Defense Contracts.
Now is the time to equip our warriors not after the face as has happened since the Spanish American War.

Fred Barnes should be embarrassed. His piece is just a retyping of a hundred different White House press releases. He offers his readers no perspective at all.

If I remember correctly, the last General who said we needed more boots on the ground in Iraq was forced into retirement.

What career officer with a desire to continue his career is going to risk that?

I find your lead in regarding the missile defense more negative than Reuters title for the article.
In this case the target missile failed shortly after launch, not any part of the missile defense system as such. Using your logic, if the person responsible for launching the target missile had a heart attack and could not launch the target that would be a failure of the anti-missile system. Obviously, you are not at all biased against the missile defense. Right?
Just like Byron Skinner!

Good Morning Folks,

Oops, that "Missile Defense" celebration didn't last long, did it folks. What was it just two weeks ago the Diet Pepsis were poping all over the place about a "successful" test. Now we hear that a test rocket had been destroyed at White Sands before the Interceptor could be fired.

How handy, if you know the test is going to fail you destroy the target. Those people at the "Missile Defense Mafia" are way more clever the we are, arn't they.

ALLONS,
Byron Skinner
