The Times publishes something factually incorrect. The Pentagon then asks for a correction. The Times declines to print a correction. The Pentagon then prints its own correction. Noah describes this as "whaaaaa."

35 years ago the Army initiated the "Low Maintenance Rifle" project by TRW.

It was auto-fire only, and I don't know if it ever really worked well, but you can see here
