David is right to point out the 'other' story about the troops and Rumsfeld.

Captain's Quaters pointed out the same had a good take to boot

I'm wondering why that article on 'alien attack' worries by a former MOD officer is worthy of DefenseTech mention. First off, it's not a necessarily credible source...it's not a mainstream news outlet like CNN or Reuters or anything. Secondly, there are plenty of former Defense officers and engineers that have gone completely loopy and proclaimed to have knowledge of UFO related crap. My position is this: in the case of UFO's, there is NO TANGIBLE PROOF, that there is anything 'extraterrestrial' going on. The burden of proof lies with those trying to advance these ideas.
Until such proof is presented fully and without any doubt associated with it, UFO's PILOTED BY EXTRATERRESTRIALS ARE FICTIONAL. End of story.

while you are beating a man while he is down -- at least post a counter to "who's Rumsfield?"

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,3-2446536,00.html#cid=OTC-RSS&attr=World

Mr Rumsfeld “made decisions, he stuck with them and he did what he thought was right, whether people agreed with it, liked it, or not”, Staff Sergeant Frank Notaro said. He insisted that Iraq was better off now than before the war.

Staff Sergeant Michael Howard said: “It’s a blow to the military. He was a good Secretary of Defence. He kept us focused. He kept the leaders focused. It’s going to be hard to fill his shoes.”
